Sunyoung Park
PhD candidate at the Bamberg Graduate School of Social Sciences, University of Bamberg, and a recipient of the DAAD Graduate Scholarship 2018–2023. Her research focuses on social integration with migrants, mainly considering their sense of self and belonging within the context of superdiversity in the digital era. Her most recent journal article examines Koreans in Germany, illustrating how the transnational identities of a migrant group sharing the same national and ethnic backgrounds can be represented differently based on situational and temporal circumstances. She is set to defend her cumulative doctoral dissertation, which includes this article, in January 2025.
