Ah-Hyun Angela Lee
PhD candidate in Korean Studies at Goethe University of Frankfurt, Germany. She received a BA in History of Art and Korean Studies and an MA in Modern East Asian Studies from the same university. In her PhD research, she primarily examines the transcultural memory practices and narratives established via the P’yŏnghwaŭi Sonyŏsang using the examples of Berlin, Kyoto, and Seoul. For this, she conducted fieldwork as a visiting research fellow at Waseda University in Japan and Sungkonghoe University in South Korea. Her research interests include but are not limited to contested memories, the Korean diaspora, and public history.
