The Literature Translation Institute of Korea (LTI Korea) is accepting applications for the <2026 Korean Literary Research and Academic Exchange Grant> to strengthen the academic foundation of Korean literature as world literature.

The overview of the grant is as follows.

TitleKorean Literary Research and Academic Exchange GrantEligible ProjectsProjects related to Korean literature or the translation of Korean literature in the following areas: 1) Authorship/Translation in Local Languages 2) Academic Exchange 3) Research Material CollectionEligible Applicants1) Authorship/Translation in Local Languages: Organizations and individuals seeking to publish foreign-language articles in overseas periodicals or monographs 2) Academic Exchange: Organizations and individuals seeking to foster international academic exchange and discussions 3) Research Material Collection: Overseas universities or university libraries that offer Korean studies departments, Korean studies centers, Korean studies or Korean language programs, or East Asian studies departments / Institutions or organizations conducting research related to Korean literature / Individual scholars, translators, and graduate students(master’s level or above) who require access to materials related to Korean literature ※ Regardless of language or nationalityCovered ExpensesDirect costs related to the projects implementation ※ Please refer to the announcements for details on the scale.Application Schedule and Application Method 1^st Round 2^nd Round Application Period March. 1 – April. 15, 2026 June 1 – July 15, 2026 Results Announcement End of May End of August – Applications are accepted twice a year (once per half-year) ※ Application deadline: 23:59:59 (KST) on the day of the deadline ※ Projects completed before the results announcement date are not eligible Application Method: Submit the completed application for via email to academic_grant[at]klti.or.kr
